Understanding Risks
and
Flooding

An ASD-inclusive workshop designed to help families understand flood risks and build practical preparedness skills

Resilient Futures: Understanding Risks & Flooding is an ASD-inclusive workshop designed to help families understand local flood risks and prepare with confidence. Through clear, accessible information and hands-on learning, participants explore how flooding impacts their community, why certain areas are more vulnerable, and what families can do before, during, and after a flood. The workshop is intentionally structured to support autistic children and their caregivers, offering practical tools, visual supports, and family-centered strategies that reduce anxiety and build preparedness. Our goal is to empower families with knowledge that leads to safer homes, stronger planning, and greater resilience.
